
Garland Polyester Plus has a carrier consisting of high strength spunbond polyester fibres formed into a material core of 180 grm/m² weights. The carrier material is saturated then coated both sides in a continuous operation using SBS modified bitumen. The coating material is then finished with a fine sand both sides to prevent sticking in the roll. The membrane is cut to roll length wrapped and labelled according to specification
Correctly installed, Garland Polyester Plus will help provide a long life to built-up roofing systems. The membrane is installed by using traditional hot bonding techniques described in UEA M.O.A.T 31. It can be cut and formed using sharp hand tools.
Do not expose the membrane to hydrocarbon based solvent products.
Manufactured from bitumen that is modified by SBS (styrene butadiene styrene) a thermoplastic rubber. This modification gives the membrane elastomeric properties and is designed to allow the membrane to remain more flexible in lower end weather extremes and sub zero temperatures.
Combined with a high performance polyester base carrier material, the membrane is primarily intended for us as an underlay installed with SBS pour and roll built-up roofing or torch-on’s.
